EXAMINATIONS
1. Terminal Examination:
The examination is held at the end of semester after the completion of a
course, known as Semester Examination. Each subject carry 100 marks. The
examination is a passing head i.e., a student must obtain a minimum of 50
marks in each subject.
2.Requirement for the Award
of Pharm.D Degree
a) A student must have passed all prescribed courses.
b) A student must have obtained a minimum GPA 2.5
3. Rules concerning the
promotions and repetition of course
i) The students passing at least 80% of the courses in an academic year
would be promoted to next higher class.
ii) Students passing less than 80% but more than 50% of the course will not
be promoted. However they will be eligible to re-appear in the courses in
which they have completed attendance requirement.
iii) Admission of all such students will stand canceled who failed in more
than 50% courses and the credits earned will stand null and void. They may
apply for fresh admission provided they meet the prescribed requirement/eligibilty.
4. Improvement of 'C' Grade
A student is allowed to improve 'C' grade only when he/she has cleared all
courses but short of required CGPA i.e. 2.5
5. Attendance
Attendance in each subject is compulsory for all students and no student
and no student shall be eligible to appear at any University examination
unless he has the attended 75 per cent in the course.
i) The Attendance of students admitted in the Faculty will be counted from
the 1st day of semester and not from the date of admission.
ii) If a student fails to attend classes for two weeks continuously after
the start of semester, his/her admission will stand canceled automatically
without any notice.
iii) If a student is unable to attend classes continuously for 10 days or
more without informing the Chairperson of the Department (in writing)
his/her admission will also stand canceled. In case of illness or other
similar situation, application along with a medical certificate from a
registered medical practitioner duly verified by the Senior Medical Officer
of the University must be submitted within two days after the incident.
A student who shows indifference to his studies by continued absence for 3 weeks from the date of his admission shall cease to be a student of the University. Appeal against the cancellation of admission may be made to the Chairman of the Dept.. and the Dean's decision in this behalf shall be final.
6.Maximum duration for
completion of degree
Maximum duration for completion of B.Pharm. degree enrollment of the B.Pharm.
will remain valid for two more years after the required duration for the
completion of the B.Pharm degree (i.e. 4 years).
