FLORA

A compact irrigated plantation of Shesham and other trees
comprising an acres at Pipli Pahar was established in 1920s, and 
used  to be an important forest reserve. However, in  absence of 
adequate & conservation activities, it has fast deteriorated.
FAUNA
No of significant wild animals worth mentioning are present in the District
except endemic Wild Boar in reverine belt of Setluj & Ravi occasional 
stage-deer.Around forest plantation Grey-Partridge is found and there
are ducks and Teals in the water spots along river Ravi & Setluj.
